Ye Jiayao is a famous chef in the modern day, passionate about traditional Chinese cuisine and always tweaking classic dishes. But when one of her cooking experiments backfires, she’s thrown back in time to ancient China, where she finds herself living as Ye Jin Xuan, the daughter of a local magistrate. Before she can adjust to her new life, she’s kidnapped and taken to Hei Fang Camp. There, she meets Xia Chun Yu, the leader of the bandits-who is secretly the young master of the Jing An Marquis manor working undercover for the king. He’s infiltrated the Black Wind Fortress to uncover a conspiracy against the throne. To keep up appearances, the two enter into a sham marriage. As Ye Jiayao settles into her unexpected new life, her exceptional cooking and modern wit begin to charm everyone around her-including Xia Chun Yu.
